Hurricane Ivan(2), October 25, 2004

Hurricane Ivan hit Alabama as a Category 3 storm then looped up through Tennessee and Virginia, out to sea, returned via Florida, and came ashore a second time on the upper Texas coast near Louisiana as a tropical depression. There was no damage and Ivan actually added sand to the dunes.

These dunes have appeared in the past month (since Ivan).

The second pass of Ivan pushed about 18 inches of sand onto these lots.
