The locks alone were worth the trip. We never grew tired of watching them in action.

Entering Hampton Court from
downstream. It was early so we just walked around the gardens and then continued on.

There were a lot of houseboats
on the river here. This one had the Royal Couple as permanent guests on the balcony.

Scenic views were everywhere.

The Shepperton-Weybridge ferry saved
us quite a bit of backtracking. It doesn't run all the time. You'd better check.

The lock keepers were always neatly
dressed and their locks nicely landscaped.
