----------
1735 Sep 18 Surv. Orangeburgh Town Lot 167 + 350 acres on Pon Pon River. REF : Plat 20:81; Grant 34:464. The grant of 350 acres would indicate a household of seven. I believe the basis for this grant was: Heinrich, Anna, Heini, one child of Emanuel Giegelmann, one child of of Hans Giegelmann, and two children of Heini Sali. Perhaps Heinrich paid the passages for the additional children. These four families, who traveled together from Switzerland, totaled 24 persons. Their initial land grants totalled 1,200 acres. Heinrich received 200 acres more than expected for his family size, the others 200 acres less than expected.
